He is from Canada. He went to the University of British Columbia and majored in Asian Studies focusing on Japanese Language and Culture.
He originally came to Japan with dreams of a career in translating and interpreting. But he discovered a passion for education after landing a job at a board of education in Hokkaido. Since then, he has spent a decade educating young learners all over Japan with the TISGroup. He has spent many years teaching at kindergartens/Nursery Schools and actively promotes a fun, safe, and education focused environment for his students.
He is also a father and tries to treat each child in his classroom with the same love and care he would expect for his own son.
