Privacy Policy
The Tokyo International School Group General Affairs Office (hereinafter, “the Office”) uses personal information provided by customers who are interested in the Tokyo International School Kindergarten/Afterschool program and its related services (hereinafter, “the Services”) which are developed by the Office and its member contractors. The following describes how the Office handles the personal information it has acquired.
1. Content of Personal Information
“Personal information” in this privacy policy refers to any information concerning a customer that falls under the definition of personal information as stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, including the following:
(1) Information related to membership registration for the Services, such as name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, and login ID.
(2) Information from inquiries, etc., made between the customer and the Office via email, telephone, fax, or letter, as well as information regarding the Office’s responses and actions to those inquiries.
2. Purpose of Use for Personal Information
The purposes for which the Office uses personal information are as follows:
(1) To provide the Services.
(2) To send information about the Services via email, direct mail, etc.
(3) To respond to various inquiries from customers to the Office and to make various inquiries from the Office to customers.
(4) To develop new services or improve the Services.
(5) To provide information about seminars, exhibitions, new products, etc.
(6) To disseminate educational and public relations information related to the preceding items.
(7) For joint use as stipulated in section 3 below.
3. Joint Use of Personal Information
The Office will share personal information as follows:
(1) Items of personal information to be jointly used: The personal information items specified in section 1(1) and (2) above.
(2) Scope of joint users: The Tokyo International School Group, which operates each Tokyo International School Kindergarten/Afterschool, and the Office’s member contractors.

(3) Purpose of use by joint users: To provide the Services, to send information about the Services via email, direct mail, etc., and to respond to various inquiries from customers.
Party responsible for the management of personal information: The Tokyo International School Group will be the business operator responsible for the management and operation of customer information in the course of joint use.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Office will not provide personal information to a third party except in the cases listed in section 3 and the following items:
(1) When prior consent has been obtained from the individual.
(2) When required by law.
(3) When there is a possibility of threatening the life, health, or property of the individual or the public.
(4) When entrusting business operations to a partner, a contractor, or a professional such as a lawyer, tax accountant, or certified public accountant within the necessary scope of business.
(5) When disclosure is requested in accordance with an order from a court or government office.
(6) When a business is succeeded due to a merger, business transfer, or other reasons.
5. Entrustment of Personal Information Handling
For the purposes stated in section 2, the Office may entrust the handling of personal information to a cooperative company (vendor) that meets its selection criteria. In such cases, the Office will establish handling standards, provide appropriate guidance and supervision, and enter into a contract regarding the entrusted work to ensure proper management of confidentiality.
6. Disclosure, Correction, Addition, and Deletion of Personal Information
If the individual, who is the subject of the personal information, makes a request for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of their personal information based on the law, the Office will verify the identity of the individual and respond to the request. A specific form designated by the Office must be submitted for this request.
