Tokyo International School Kindergarten is affiliated with Tokyo International School (TIS).
TIS offers the full International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum (PYP | MYP | DP) that fosters inquiry-based learning and global citizenship. TIS has a truly international and diverse student body and faculty, and English is the primary language of instruction. Located in Downtown Central Tokyo, TIS provides a comprehensive K-12 international education from Kindergarten (5 years old) to High School (18years). Currently, 460 students from over 70 countries study at TIS.
Graduates of TIS Kindergarten receive priority consideration for admission to TIS*.

Our Journey
What began as a single preschool in 1985 has grown into a network of kindergartens grounded in global-minded, Inquiry-driven education. Guided by a belief in each child's unique potential, we evolved into a system of independent campuses-each reflecting the core values of the Tokyo International School Group while responding to the needs of their local communities.
1994
Children’s House, the predecessor of Tokyo International School, was opened in Shimomeguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
1997
Tokyo International School Elementary opened in Megurohoncho, Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
2009
English Studio International Kindergarten, the predecessor of Tokyo International School Kindergarten, was established.
2013
English Studio International Kindergarten was renewed and newly opened as Tokyo International School Kindergarten.
